It seems we’ve gone blackberry crazy lately with cobblers and tea, but this past weekend our blackberry lily bloomed!

The plant looks like an iris, but it shoots up this tall skinny stalk and puts out these dainty little flowers that curl up into a twist when they are done blooming.  We added it to the garden last summer and I was afraid it wasn’t going to bloom this year.  It’s so nice to have a late bloom this summer, especially since its so dry and hot right now being in the triple digits!
