Sorry, couldn’t resist. And I couldn’t think of a better title for this post. Also, technically, it’s not a a baby so okay, just ignore the title of this post all together.

While shopping for plants this weekend for my aquascape bowl, I came across cherry shrimp in the store which are these tiny freshwater shrimp and they are adorable!

I’d seen them on Instagram in other aquascapes so I decided to buy one. I also bought a ghost shrimp which is the same size but white in color. This little red guy is about 3/4″ in size.

Apparently, they are very easy to care for and luckily my minnows and cory won’t bother them.

I also went overboard on plants and now intend to set up another aquascape at home, and it’s probably going to be home to just several of these little guys. They also come in blue and yellow so I might have to have a whole little shrimp rainbow aquascape. More about that to follow!
