These are the last of our tiger lilies, and I do mean last. This one by the birdhouse looks funny standing there so tall all on its own while its friends finished up blooming long ago. But thanks to the mild summer, the lilies bloomed the longest ever.

This one is a shorter dark lily that always blooms late anyway. Just when I begin to wonder if it’s going to bloom at all it shows its colors. They are usually long gone now though thanks to our usual July heat. But not this year. There are two blooms still hanging on.

Here’s the 2nd bloom with some odd spotting on its leaves that give it some unique character.
