Our water plants started blooming yesterday. This was a pleasant surprise since this is our first year growing water plants. I ran out to snap this photo above of a water hyacinth in our garden tub, but just one hour later when I went back to look again, it had changed so I snapped the photo below.

It intrigues me how fast things can change in the garden, and I never expected it to look like this. Here’s another water plant that has just started to bloom too.
