As I mentioned in yesterday’s post, the yellow irises have really flourished this week. Some took a beating in last week’s bad weather and I clipped those and brought them inside and put them in a vase. They still managed to bloom. I’ve included a picture in the collage of the entire bed and you can see there are still some that are weighted down due to the harsh wind we had. That’s also the reason for the white trellises.

We built this bed and filled it in 2012 so this is only its second year blooming and it has done very well.

I love the iris in these photos because it looks like a bird. Tomorrow I’ll show you a dark buttercream solid color iris from the same bed.
