I started reading a new book on Friday called Love Letters to the Dead by Ava Dellaira on Friday. It reminds me a lot of Perks of Being a Wallflower, and even came suggested through Goodreads by the author of Perks. I loved Perks very much and Love Letters is sort of written in the same style. We have a female protagonist named Laurel who is given a homework assignment to write a letter to someone famous who is dead, so she writes to Kurt Cobain. The entire book is letters she writes to various dead people from Kurt to Judy Garland to Amelia Earhart, and through the letters we learn more about Laurel and her life. The above quote is just one of many I highlighted on my Kindle just in the first few pages.
