The Urban Gardener: Letters From a Morning Glory

I always know summer is almost over when the morning glories start to bloom.  These are not even our flowers.  They belong to a neighbor across the fence, but they have spread across the fence onto our side.  They are a lovely splash of pink and purple on that side of the yard, and they only bloom in the morning.

It’s very hard to take photos of the blooms up close.  They are so vibrant in color that they don’t even look like they are in focus.

We have a lot of honeysuckle that grows on this side, so this is a nice flower to see across the top of the honeysuckle now that the honeysuckle is no longer blooming.
