Coupon Savings for the Year

Just added up my coupon savings for the year!  Yes, I’ve loyally been keeping track all year since it was one of my New Year’s Resolutions.  My goal was to save at least $1,000 from coupons and I’m right on target.  For the year, my savings total is $891.78!  Now, what do I have to show for that in savings?  Sadly, about $50, but that’s not the point.  It’s still money I didn’t pay out of pocket, right down to the 28 cents I saved on gas yesterday from a grocery coupon!  Yay me!

  1. Congrats! I’ve saved a tad more than you, around $1500, but that also includes what I’ve saved at craft stores. I had started to put money into a smarty pig account, I would take the money saved in coupons at the end of the month and transfer it to the smarty pig account, then we bought a new fridge and instead of taking all the money out of savings to pay for it, I closed my SP account and used that. Next year I plan to start over and transfer the money somewhere so we really do have a nice chunk at the end of the year.
