- New birdfeeder for the back yard. The hail storm last weekend beat up the old ones pretty bad. They were past their prime anyway.
- Grocery shopping. My local Shop N Save has been moving everything around since I was in last. We’ve lived here six years and I was just getting the hang of where everything was before!
- Bought Country Time Lemonade – haven’t had that since I was a kid. Not bad with a splash of orange juice and a shot of tequila.
- Finally got the banana trees planted.
- And transplanted some other things that seemed out of place and some that had already bloomed.
- J’s barbecued chicken again for dinner tonight!
Lone Writer’s Log Book: Saturday May 5th 2012
- Hungry cats ruined my plans to sleep in.
- After coffee and catching up online, I spent the morning weeding my flower beds. Finally stopped procrastinating and moved my alliums that did not bloom to a new location for next year. I’ll move the ones that did bloom later.
- Mediocre lunch at the CC boat house. The staff’s shirts say “Best Kept Secret in St. Louis.” It should probably stay that way.
- Finally found pineapple sage again this year! We bought 10 plants!
- Materials delivered for new herb garden. Our window sill is now empty and the herbs have a home.
- Barbecue chicken on the grill and margaritas for dinner!
