The tickseed is blooming…a sure sign of summer around here. It’s a nice wild flower that we enjoy because it continues to bloom for a long time. It also attracts yellow finches so I hope to catch some of them this year with my camera!

First bloom of one of the newer irises. I planted this one in Fall of 2010. It produced only 1 or 2 blooms last year. This year there are 4. It’s a very large flower and as you can see it’s quite beautiful in the morning sun. I was so happy to see some of the newer ones finally blooming. More to follow…
