366 of Me: Day 142

Our stoic lil Bailey! These were taken last Wednesday night when Bailey was sitting so pretty. I was so happy he posed long enough for a few snapshots.

366 of Me: Day 140

This one is called Southern Blue Flag, but unless I’m color blind it has never bloomed blue yet.

  • Had a suck week with book sales on Kindle.  Time for a promo!
  • Finally got some weeding done in the garden.
  • Transplanted my non-blooming irises to their own separate bed for next year.
  • Did some other transplanting projects around the yard to spread the wealth and give some others more room.
  • The Asiatic lilies are in bloom!
  • Editing going strong!  First 15 chapters down.

366 of Me: Day 139

Here’s one that got lost in the beds because I didn’t know it was going to be so small. It’s my new white allium that I planted last October. If you look close, you’ll see hints of purple. It’s a tiny flower about the size of a dandy lion though and sort of got smothered out in the beds by larger plants, and the hail storm a few weeks ago beat it down. I had to hold this one up to take its picture. Probably a flower I should consider moving if I want to enjoy it next year.

366 of Me: Day 138

The tickseed is blooming…a sure sign of summer around here. It’s a nice wild flower that we enjoy because it continues to bloom for a long time. It also attracts yellow finches so I hope to catch some of them this year with my camera!

  • Mom liked her Cally Lillies even though I had them delivered Thursday.
  • Had a long list of gardening chores to accomplish today which I decided to cancel since Saturday had already been so busy.  I did spray the drive way to kill the grass and weeds.
  • Spent the rest of the day reading and doing laundry.
  • Took a 3 hour nap.
  • Only got 1K written on FHF.  Oh well…I’ll catch up.
  • New mattress and bedsprings delivered. My feet don’t even touch the ground when I sit on the edge of the bed.
