Wow! August was a good month, probably my best yet! I finished The Rope Walk in early August, and finished 4 books after that. That brings my total for the year to 29 books. I’m just one away from finishing my new year resolution of 30! Even if I just read one book a month from now till December, I’ll surpass my reading goal which I’m pretty proud of. But now, I’m in limbo because I don’t know what I should read next. It’s not because I have a lack of books. Ha! That never happens. It’s probably because I have too many! To date, I’ve unloaded 125 books since 2007 on Bookmooch, but I’ve also mooched 100 books for myself. Now, a few of those mooched have come in and gone back out, but still, the book shelves overfloweth.
I’ve been dying to read Peter Straub’s Ghost Story after scoring an old hard cover copy, but I’m saving that one for October I think.
The Crow: Quoth the Crow by David Bischoff arrived in the mail yesterday via Bookmooch. I nabbed it after reading and loving Poppy Z. Brite’s version of The Crow earlier this month.
There’s also two more of Scott Heim’s books waiting, an author I read this year while on vacation.
I don’t reread very many books, but Gary Reed’s Pryor Rendering has been calling my name, a book I read and fell in love with about 12 years ago after picking it up on the bargain shelf at B&N.
Let’s not forget Gillian Flynn’s Sharp Objects, another author who I read this year and loved.
And this small mention of books barely scratches the surface. Oh what to read! What to read!
Oh, and I have no idea what this movie poster has to do with anything, besides me Googling “Book Limbo” and it came up. Check out the young Russell Crowe on the bottom.
