It’s in the 50s now here and all the snow has melted. I’m glad it didn’t last long enough to do any real damage to the plants that are just now breaking ground. Our tiger lilies in the front have sprouted up. Some bushes we planted last year are starting to bud, and the good ole hostas and seedums are coming up too. Don’t forget the yard turning green and those wild onions coming up everywhere.
Tomorrow, contractors are coming to measure our back yard for some white vinyl fencing we are going to have installed. It’s something we’ve wanted to do for a while, but after the attack on Bailey back on Tuesday, we want the fence now more than ever. It’ll be a great canvas to our backyard for the upcoming Spring and Summer seasons. Soon I’ll be potting plants and veggies and tinkering in the yard again.
The trees around here are in full bloom too. Shades of yellow, white, and purple are everywhere. Unfortunately, a neighbors’ tree, all pretty in purple buds, down the street didn’t weather so well last night. A big part of it split and fell to the ground from the snow. But like I said, I’m just glad the white stuff didn’t stick around long. Now we get get on with our regularly scheduled spring weather we should be having 3 days from April!
