Over the weekend, the book worm gobbled up a book that’s been on my list for a while now: Not Quite What I Was Planning, by Rachel Fershleiser and Larry Smith. The book is a collection of 6 word memoirs from writers across the globe (some well known and some not) who submitted their memoir online at a website. I first mentioned this book in a post last year, along with a collection of some of my own 6 word thoughts. I fell in love with this book and finished reading it in just 2 settings. Most pages contain less than 6 memoirs (36 words total) and are very thought provoking. I loved the book so much that J and I gave a copy to his aunt for a birthday gift, and I’ll definitely be buying more for others. You can pick up your own copy as a bargain book on Amazon right now.
And submit your own memoir online at Smith Magazine. Remember…you only get 6 words!
Here’s mine for the day…
Mondays are an empty coffee cup.
