I’ve never been to the St. Louis Mardi Gras in all 9 years that I’ve lived here, but I’m sure it would never compare to the one time I did go to the real Mardi Gras in New Orleans back in 1995….of which, I would never go back to either!
But I did enjoy my time spent with the Mardi Gras Krewes of Memphis putting on grand royal balls and hosting charity events.
For now, my bead throwing days are over and instead, the purple, green, and gold shiny things are reserved for the Christmas tree…unless you count all the virtual bead throwing on Facebook!
A light dusty snow fell last night. The car looks like someone attacked it with that snow in a can, the kind you still see faintly on trailer home windows six months after the holidays are over, like a million little dots of toothpaste fodder dried on your bathroom window curving along the bottom right corner. Snow doesn’t cling to your window like that. But it’s all over the car, that’s for sure. I snapped this photo of a lone dove perching on the deck this morning waiting for breakfast…
