Do you still like vampires? May 3, 2008

So, Anne Rice now writes about Jesus, saying she’ll never write another vampire or witch book again. In my search for a literary agent, I’ve discovered rule #1 is usually NO VAMPIRES! It’s been done. It’s been overdone. But we still like vampires, don’t we?

About a year ago, I started an online serial novel about a new kind of vampire that interests me: Psychic Vampires. As I am not well versed in vampire fiction, my story may or may not be anything new. The lead character, Atman, is not a blood thirsty villain, but more of a soul eating, ghost hunting, psychic vampire runaway from a circus.

I’ve moved the blog around a few times for exposure, but Atman now as a new home here on WordPress. The tentative title of the story is In His Reckless Eyes, and the first 5 chapters can be read now. It’s totally free too! I hope you will check him out and let me know what you think.

    I’ll definitely check this out!

And FYI: It looks like Anne has come crawling back and will be writing about vampires once again. I don’t know…I’m still feeling snubbed. How about you?
