April is National Poetry Month… April 1, 2008

…to celebrate, Robert Lee Brewer has challenged readers to write a poem a day for the entire month of April over at Poetic Asides at Writers Digest. Just rough drafts right now. Editing can wait till May. I’m still an avid reader and occasional writer of poetry, so this sounded like a fun challenge. His prompt for today was to write about a “first” since today is the 1st.

Wish I had more time to devote to it, but I already have too many other writing projects on the table.  Check out the link though and read some of the poems people have posted in the comments.  Pretty cool stuff if you like poetry.  Good luck to those who have committed to the task!

The End is Near April 1, 2008

Well, I think it’s time I finally announced that I plan to end this blog very soon.  It’s been fun.  I know it’s been short lived, but it’s time for me to move on and concentrate on other things that need my attention.

APRIL FOOLS!  Just kidding….I’m not going anywhere!
But I am happy to announce that as promised, I’m back in the swing of things with my writing schedule.  I was up at 6am yesterday and today and pounding out what is to be the new first chapter of “The Piano Maker” (new title pending).  So, what a great way to start the month.

No joke…I’ll be 32 in twenty days.  Go to my Amazon wishlist if you want to buy me something!
