The Luciann

Here’s another Memphis landmark.  Another old movie theatre building which I mentioned in my first book, the beloved Luciann.  The outside architecture of the building is amazing.  Luciann (It was named for the architect’s daughter) is carved in the concrete over the marquee.

But it’s now the Paris Adult Movie Theater.

Ahhh…memories….oh wait, I’ve never been here before.  Seriously.  Never.  Not once.  ;-)

  1. This was named after my Aunt Lucia and Aunt Ann. My mother, Rosemary was the daughter which my Grandfather Michael Cianciolo named the Rosemary Theater. My mother, Rosemary, passed away, June 3, 2008 @ 6:50

    She was a wonderful mother

  2. I’m not so sure it’s know so much for its great architecture anymore! But, it’s definitely an interesting building. Wouldn’t think it would house what is houses. -gg
