So during more downtime today, what did I do? I went back to agentquery.com to check out all the other cool information they offer. I decided to take a look at some of the query samples they suggest. This led me to a cool blog written by Heather Brewer.
Heather is a cool young author who used AQ to land an agent and publisher for her YA book called The Chronicles of Vladimir Tod: Eighth Grade Bites. It’s due out in paperback on March 13th, and I predict this will be quite the popular book among young adults. The cover alone looks awesome!
And guess what? Heather lives right here in St. Louis where I do. Small world! Heather is promoting herself on her blog, offering give aways, and also handing out advice on writing and publishing. She inspired me to take a second look at my query letter and chop it down a bit. Thanks, Heather!
Check out Heather’s blog and pre-order her book today!
Oh, and check out my cool little writing progress meter over there on the right side of the blog. I swiped that idea from Heather too. Hope she doesn’t mind!

And stick with it–querying is rough, but an important part of the process. You can do it!
